It's a small world, after all.

Today, I had the pleasure of talking with three of my favorite people via a conference call on Skype. Right, I know, it doesn't sound like a huge deal. But as I sat in my dorm room on the east coast of Australia, I couldn't help but be amazed at the fact that I was simultaneously speaking with one friend in Illinois, one in Colorado, and one in Peru. I've never understood better than I did at that moment what people mean when they say technology is making the world smaller. For such a huge planet, it really can be quite a small world!
