Hey y'all! Just a quick little hello to let you all know that yes, I am still alive!
I don't have nearly enough time to write about last week's road trip right now (that entry will be quite the novel), but I will tell you that it was, as expected, absolutely epic. So many good memories!
It also seems that I have finally reached it: the point in my semester abroad where I don't really want to go home. Trust me, I miss you all heaps, but now that mid-semester break is over and I'm having to start finalizing plans for getting home, I am feeling surprisingly reluctant. Little old Australia has apparently worked its way pretty deep into my heart!
No worries though, there is still plenty of time left for me in this incredible country, and I plan to make the most of it. Tonight, though, actually involved a little taste of America: the three UQ Vandy girls, plus another Vandy girl visiting from Australia National University in Canberra, ventured to Fortitude Valley for Mexican food and gelato. It was delicious, the company was fantastic, and it made me happy, so I thought I would share.
This also makes me happy - I got it from one of my favorite people, and it has brought me a lot of comfort this week: "May today there be peace within you. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities born of faith...let this presence settle in your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, and love." -St. Therese of Lisieux
Love love.
